Rhees Johnson, LMFT

Highland, Utah

Rhees is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with extensive experience in client-centered clinical work. He has focused his career on developing clinical skills to help clients improve their quality of life and cultivate meaningful healthy relationships.  His role at Ampelis is informed by experience running his own therapy practice, leadership positions in community mental health, and intensive clinical and research training.

Rhees graduated with a BA in Family, Consumer, and Human Development from Utah State University, followed by a MS in Human Development & Family Studies – Marriage and Family Therapy – from Auburn University. During his studies, Rhees received what was described as “the most prestigious master’s fellowship in the field,” as well as a “grant in support of original research.” He facilitated evidenced-based relationship education curriculum in the public school system and published peer reviewed research on a variety of relationship health processes.

He deeply values time with his family, and enjoys all things technology, mechanical watches, and volleyball. Originally from the Salt Lake area, Rhees is passionate about facilitating high-quality mental health treatment in his community and along the Wasatch front.
