AMANDA DUSTIN, PMHNP-BC
CACHE VALLEY CLINIC & VIRTUAL
Amanda works with adolescents, adults, and older adults from all backgrounds who are struggling with their mental health. She is passionate about serving those from marginalized communities and those who feel misunderstood or overlooked in the mental health care system. She strongly believes that individuals cannot be separated from their lived experiences and the effect those experiences have on their health. Quality care, in her view, should always be administered within the context of a person’s culture and environment. She knows that working toward true healing involves meeting people where they are and being fully present to their needs. She approaches each healing journey as unique, striving to provide individualized support that helps her patients thrive, feel seen, and find fulfillment in their lives.
Amanda is passionate about providing care that treats more than just symptoms or a diagnosis. She wholeheartedly believes that mental health treatment must be approached holistically to truly meet the needs of the individual. Each day, she feels inspired to understand the lived experiences, desires, struggles, and hopes of the patients under her care. She considers it an honor to walk alongside individuals on their healing journeys and to be present in their moments of growth and resilience.
She is trained in medication management, psychodynamic principles, evidence-based practice, and trauma- and resilience-informed care. She strives to create an environment that fosters engagement and belonging while maintaining the highest standards of safety, integrity, and compassion.
Outside of her professional life, Amanda enjoys mixed martial arts, skiing, mountain biking, movies, and spending time with her family. One of her favorite quotes is, “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’” —Mary Anne Radmacher.
